Jennifer Duffy-Robinson, Dr. Maureen Altman, & North Memorial Animal Hospital are pleased to announce that Jennifer successfully completed the Pet Tech Instructor Training program on September 21st, 2010 and is now qualified to teach the Pet Tech family of programs. The eight-hour PetSaver class includes the skills and information necessary to prepare the pet owner and Pet Care Professional in the unfortunate event of a medical emergency involving their own or someone else's pet. About the Class This class is perfect for pet owners and pet care professionals. The training is taught by lecture, demonstration, and hands-on skill practice. The class includes a 40 page handbook and upon successful completion, each participant will receive a certificate and wallet card. What is Pet Tech? Pet Tech is the first international training center for pet CPR, first aid & care. Pet Tech and their international network of instructors promote "caring, conscientious, responsible and loving pet ownership." Pet Tech and their instructors are committed to the safety, heatlth and well-being of our pets, our friends, our companions. Our mission statement is "Improving the quality of pets' lives, one pet owner at a time." Jennifer is employed at North Memorial Animal Hospital as the Practice Administrator. She is a volunteer EMT and is a member of the Swift Water Rescue Team for the Transfer Volunteer Fire Department. Jennifer also provides water rescue for the APBA Hydro-Boat races. Through her various activities she has witnessed the lack of emergency pet CPR & first aid. Jennifer found that becoming a Pet Tech Instructor would help this deficiency.
